How we promote the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show episodes

and the Brummet's Conscious Blog

The Brummets have a strong marketing background and continue to attract new traffic regularly.

We encourage our listeners and guests to consider simple promotion activities like: posting announcements on their blogs, publications, website, or on their favorite forums and to send out email announcements to their contacts or press releases to their favorite newsletters and other publications that focus on similar subject matter.

The host promotes each radio episode in a variety of ways. They are announced on the blog and on social networking sites before and after each live broadcast. Quotes from guests are posted on the blog and on social networking sites several months after the show airs to help promote the archived episodes. The host also utilizes the social networking buttons on the blog posts and archived radio show episodes.

The host lists recommended episodes within the genre for each new episode in the comment section on the episode page, and verbally recommends that list during the closing of each episode, and in the live chat room as well. We continually encourage listeners to listen to archived broadcasts, since our episodes are archived indefinitely. Similarly, when featuring topics on the blog we'll often refer to previous posts, articles and radio episodes along with their links.

Each radio episode and blog post features FaceBook, Google+, and Twitter buttons – and offers a “share” button, which opens a pop up window containing dozens of other social networking sites. Guests and listeners are encouraged to use these features to promote any episode they have enjoyed to their circles on those social networking sites.

The Brummet's also purchase advertising space periodically and distribute promotional materials such as bookmarks. Because the hosts are also authors, they are often asked to be featured guests on other blogs, radio shows or publications, and they use those opportunities to attract new radio show listeners and blog readers.
